Silambam (1 Year)
Silambam is one of the oldest martial arts in our Tamil culture, taught by Lord Murugan to Agathiya Munivar. The word “Silambam” combines “silam,” meaning “mountain,” and “bam,” meaning “bamboo,” which refers to the primary weapon used in this martial art.
Silambam practitioners learn a variety of forms and techniques, including strikes, blocks, and defensive maneuvers. The practice is known for its emphasis on rhythm and timing, as well as its ability to adapt traditional techniques to modern combat scenarios. Beyond its martial applications, Silambam is also a means of preserving and celebrating Tamil cultural heritage.
Our training in Silambam is designed to provide a deep understanding of this ancient art while fostering personal growth and physical fitness.
